We understand how important it is, to choose the perfect wedding flowers for your big day; that’s why we’re here to help you choose! We have put together a list of things to consider:
Set a budget for your wedding flowers
Work out your overall budget for your wedding and then set an amount aside specifically for your wedding flowers. Once you’ve done this, work out what time of wedding flowers you would like on the day, so you know what your budget needs to cover.
A recent survey (playingwithflowers.co.uk) showed the average amount spent on wedding flowers, is between £200-£400. 60% of florists surveyed placed their average order between this range. This price range included, a bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, pocket flower and a top table arrangement. The other remaining percentage spent £400-£1000 on their wedding flowers.
Research your wedding florist
Do your research. Have a look at different florists, whether this is in your area and willing to travel to your wedding venue, or local florist close to your wedding venue. Have a look at their previous work, check their websites and social media to see what you do and don’t like. From that, you will be able to see the style that you do want and know what you’re looking for.
Have a wedding flower vision
Create a wedding mood board or have a visual or mental plan of how you would like things to look. Answer the following questions:
Do you want your flowers to match your wedding theme?
What type of wedding flowers would you like?
Some brides have their wedding flowers reflect the season which they are getting married, for example, white roses could reflect summer, whereas red roses could reflect winter.
Choose your wedding flowers and your bridal parties will follow
Start with your bouquet. Once you have established what your bouquet will look like and decided on the finished arrangement, you will be able to easily decide your bridal parties to match, as well as the flower pocket for the Father of the Bride, Groom & Groomsmen.
Based on the above, we have included our recommended list for you to consider:
