couple getting married

New beginnings!

Here at Merrydale Manor, we already have had a great to start to 2018. With lots proposals over the festive period, our Merrydale Manor team has been non-stop in the office with the phones ringing and emails have been flooding through throughout January and early February with couples enquiring to book in for a viewing at this beautiful Cheshire wedding venue!

Cheshire weddings: Themes and trends

We are sure that if you have your wedding booked at Merrydale Manor in 2018 then you are already well within your planning process and you are searching endlessly on Pinterest for themes and ideas for your special day! Fortunately, here at Merrydale Manor we have plenty of experience, working with some of the best suppliers in Cheshire who are keen to make your wedding the spectacular day you always hoped for. We have asked a couple of our suppliers to share their ideas on the most popular trends and themes for 2018 to help give you that little extra bit of inspiration for the planning of your day.

‘I’d say that my brides and grooms love the majority of their day to be photographed in a documentary style – great, real moments captured throughout the day. From bridal prep, right through to when dancing starts, telling the story of their day in an unforced, non-posed way is what they love.
They also love something that puts their stamp on their wedding. Something with a bit of drama, something that nobody else has got – and that’s up to me to work out what that is! Using pyrotechnics or smoke bombs is very popular with my couples – or just embracing the weather and getting out there in the rain to get that killer shot! They LOVE doing something that injects their personalities into their photographs and I think we’ll see even more of this in 2018’

‘The main colours going forward this year will be greens and the tropical look, as you have probably already seen in current photo shoots but the main colour tipped to be the main trend for 2018 is Ultraviolet! I expect shades of purples to be popular again and metallic is still going strong but more patches of colour rather than whole blocks in gold, rose gold or silver. Not so many naked cakes but semi-naked with metallic and richly coloured flowers or tropical ferns etc are said to be a real trend for 2018.’

In 2018 our unobtrusive approach will continue. A wedding is over in a heartbeat and it’s one of the only times you’ll have everyone you love and care about in one room. With our approach, our clients can forget about us and enjoy every second of their big day. They can relax and we can capture their magical moments with their loved ones that they’ll enjoy watching back time and time again!
